Christianity lets you be honest with God

One of the unique features of Christianity is that you can be honest with God about your sin. All of us have sinned. We have all gone against God's standards. We often use the expression 'well no-one’s perfect' and God's standards are perfection.

Many people hope that God will overlook their sin, or that somehow he will cancel out that sin, but only Christianity lets you be totally honest with God about your condition.

The Christian God is a God of love. He knows everything about us and hates the sin that we commit, but the amazing thing is that He still loves us! He loves us so much that He sent His Son (Jesus) to die for us, to take the punishment that we deserve so that if we accept Him we can live forever with Him! God does not want us to pretend, He wants us to be honest with Him about our sin and to confess our sins to Him.

The bible says in 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
